F. ON THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

18. Payment of Wages ( continued )

If field staff employees are expected to return to the office after all scheduled patient visits for documentation, reporting, etc., mileage from the last patient’s home to office will be reimbursed. If field staff has scheduled a P.M. visit, mileage ends at patient’s home. Only in emergency cases (when a nurse gets called out) does a nurse get mileage to and from home.

Under normal circumstances no time allowance will be given with relation to traveling to a patient’s home at the start of the day, or from the patient’s home to the employee’s home at the end of the day. Normally, all field staff employees are expected to begin their workday at 8:00 a.m. and finish their workday at 4:30 p.m. (The nurse or aide is expected to be at the first patient’s home at 8:00 a.m. and leave the last patient’s home at 4:30 p.m. if office attendance is not warranted). Field staff must be approved to start before 8:00 a.m. due to liability insurance.

In the event that a nurse or aide is required to travel outside their normal geographical area, conditions concerning time and mileage allotment will be adjusted accordingly to each particular situation.

All non-field staff employees who use their personal automobiles to run errands and such for the Agency, upon request, will be reimbursed at the current rate determined by the Agency.
