F. ON THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Employee Property

All employees should be aware that his or her personal property, including but not limited to packages, purses, and backpacks, may be inspected upon reasonable suspicion of unauthorized possession of Erwine Home Health and Hospice property. For security reasons, employees should not leave personal belongings of value in the workplace. Personal items are subject to inspection and search, with or without notice, with or without the employee’s prior consent.

2. Employer Property

Office/General:

Desks, computers, furniture, office supplies and equipment are Erwine Home Health and Hospice’s property and must be maintained according to Erwine’s rules and regulations. Prior authorization must be obtained before this type of property may be removed from the premises. Employees are responsible for assuring that such equipment is not lost, stolen, or damaged while in their custody and/or control. Similarly, such equipment must only be used for work-related purposes. Erwine Home Health and Hospice reserves the right to inspect all Erwine property to ensure compliance with its rules and regulations, without notice to the employee and at any time, not necessarily in the employee’s presence. All Erwine employees must report lost, stolen, damaged, or unclean equipment immediately to their supervisors.

Lost, stolen, or damaged equipment under the custody and/or control of any Erwine employee is the sole responsibility of that employee. Any lost, stolen, or damaged property may be replaced by Erwine at current replacement cost, and charged to the employee in the form of a payroll deduction, either as a lump sum or in payment installments, at Erwine’s discretion
