27. Termination

Termination results when an employee voluntarily resigns or is involuntarily terminated from his or her employment at Erwine Home Health and Hospice. Upon termination, all Erwine Home Health and Hospice-owned property must be returned immediately. Should the property of Erwine Home Health and Hospice not be returned, the terminated employee refusing to return Erwine property will be responsible for all legal fees. Terminated employees will not receive payment of PDO’s.

Voluntary Termination

Personnel who leave Erwine Home Health & Hospice are required to give four weeks written notice, unless otherwise stated per their employment agreement, of intended termination. Notice should include anticipated date of departure, reason for resignation, signature, and other pertinent data. Failure to provide said written notice may cause loss of eligibility for rehire or payment of PDO's. PDO days may not be used to fulfill resignation time/days. Accrued, unused PDO time will be paid out at the rate of one-half the value of the time accrued and unused. 

 

28. Employee Agreement

Every professional employee will sign an employee agreement upon hire. Should the employee breach the agreement either during employment or following termination from the company, the employee (past or present) will be responsible for legal fees..
